First Attempts at Fire Cider

My fire cider after sitting overnight

Last year when my kids went back to school we stayed sick all throughout the winter. They brought home every single little cough and cold running around the school, and we were miserable! So this year I decided I would do everything I can to get our immune systems going in full force to prepare us for flu season, and one of the best ways to do that is with fire cider! Fire cider is a concoction made with a bunch of veggies and fruits and apple cider vinegar. It's spicy and sour, and will knock the breath out of you if you drink it straight, but the effects are worth it! Everytime I feel that itch in my throat or get a little sneezy I take a tablespoon of fire cider in some water and that's the end of it. So here's how I made mine:

Red onion

Hot peppers

Oranges

Lemons

Ginger

Garlic

Horseradish

Turmeric

Fresh oregano

Fresh rosemary

Black Peppercorns

Apple Cider Vinegar

Chop everything up, stick it in a jar and cover it with apple cider vinegar! Let it sit for at least 3 weeks (the longer, the stronger), strain and enjoy! Keep refrigerated.

I have a reel showing my process on my Instagram if you want to check that out.

Make it Magickal

As you chop your ingredients thank each thing for its aid in your family's health. If you know what they are used for medicinally (each ingredient has a medicinal purpose in this recipe!) or it's magickal correspondence meditate on that as you add it to your jar. When you are done assembling your fire cider sit with it and focus your intention on your and your family's health. Do the same when you consume it.

Stay safe and healthy this winter my friends🧡
