There are few things more magickal (or delicious) than a loaf of fresh baked bread. For me bread making is a ritual in and of itself. From kneading my intention into the dough to taking that first bite of a buttered slice, bread baking days are my favorite days.
This recipe is a great base for many different breads. You can make it into a braided loaf for knot magick, add herbs for your intention, make it into rolls, carve sigils into it; the list goes on.
There are so many ways you can work spellwork into your bread baking. My favorite ways are scoring personal sigils or runes into the top of the loaf, adding in herbs that fit my intention (rosemary and basil are my go-to's), and speaking incantations or singing to the dough as I knead it. If I am baking bread on a nice sunny day I like to place my dough outside to rise and absorb a little extra sun energy✨
